Feeling Economy’s Pinch, Desperate Lumberjack Is Most Certainly NOT Okay

Say it ain’t so, Paul Bunyan!

Ax-wielding man robs Northland hotel this morning

A man armed with an ax robbed a Northland hotel early this morning.

The robbery occurred about 1:45 a.m. today at the Comfort Inn, 7300 N.E. Parvin Road, Kansas City, North. The hotel is near Worlds of Fun amusement park and Oceans of Fun water park.

A man entered the hotel armed with an ax and demanded money from the female hotel clerk. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk couldn’t tell if the man got into a vehicle or fled on foot.

Hmmm. We suspect we know exactly what form of transportation the thief used for his getaway:

Sadly, the robbery immediately cast a cloud of suspicion over every KC man wearing a red plaid shirt.
